Complacent [Jun. 23rd, 2009|03:36 am]
[mood |complacentcomplacent]

Today was just like any other.

Through my life, I have learned and I am but 16 years old. Life has a funny way about teaching us things. It shows us the good and the bad, it shows us good times and friends and then rips them away from us. Life gives us problems so we learn, so we drop "I don't care" and so we really appreciate what we have.

Life may be "short", but it is the longest thing anyone has ever endured. Some people make great things of themselves and are sincerely happy; while others don't. Some people find someone they can spend all their time with and never grow tired of them.

In life we teach ourselves and others. I have learned that most everyone lies, but not all are givin the title of a liar. I've learned that the majority of people are hypocritical of at least 50% of the things they complain about. I've learned that people complain for three reasons; they like the sound of their own voice, they are trying to strike up conversation, or they are asking for help. I've learned that people don't change, but the way they think does. I've learned that the more mature someone becomes the more fun they have. I've learned that keeping the child inside of oneself is a key to pure bliss and happiness. I've learned that people do stupid things just to say they've done it, just to have a scapegoat, or just to fit in. I've learned that school is more than just grades. I've learned that some people are honestly messed up. I've learned that I am blessed. I've learned that not everyone lives like I do. I've learned not to count my chickens before they hatch. I've learned to give things a chance. I've learned lightheartedness will keep you happy. I've learned that people are overly sensitive and that I am too harsh. I've learned that I am not always right. I've learned to accept my flaws, and I've welcomed the idea to fix them. I've learned that family is where the heart should be. I've learned that home is where the heart is, which is with your family. I've learned that your parents are always right when it comes to life. I've learned that they deserve more respect than what I've given them. I've learned that without my parents and my family I'd have nothing, I'd of done nothing, I'd of been no where, and seen nothing. I've learned to love. I've learned to see the best in people, and not to judge. I've learned that words hold nearly no meaning, unless spoken, or acted upon. I've learned.

In this life I've found many friends. I've found some that I can talk to long enough to the point where we both cry. I've found another where not a word passes between either of us, and a smile causes a tear. I've made friends that have made me laugh so hard I lost control of my bladder. I've made a friend that I never thought I'd lose. I lost them. I found a friend in a person I despised.

I've realized many things. I know now that being sad is ok. I know that talking to someone proves to be much more productive than holding things in. I know now that soMethings are better kept to ones self. I've realized that you will never leave where you are until you know where you want to be. I know that I do not know everything. I know that I am good at many things, but someone will always be "better." I know that the world is currupt and that everything, no matter the situation, or the judge, is slightly biast.

I've seen the ugliness in people, I've seen the pureness and goodness in others.
I've confronted my problems.
I have grown.
Life is making me open my mind, and speak it.
I am learning, and I will continue to learn.

People do pass. Life does end. Moments of anger and sadness are moments that cannot be replaced. They are moments of happiness that are lost. Love life, love god. Find something to believe in. Live.
